FAQ’s
Q: Do I need a physician’s referral to see a Physical Therapist?
A: Colorado is an open access state so you can be evaluated and treated by a Physical Therapist without a physician’s referral. However, some insurance policies require a doctor’s referral and we will advise you as to whether this is required by your plan.
Q: How do I make an appointment?
A: Simply choose the location most convenient to you and give us a call.
Q: How long are my appointments?
A: Your first visit includes a comprehensive evaluation and is an hour long. Subsequent visits are 30 to 45 minutes.
Q: How early should I arrive for my appointments?
A: Please arrive 10-15 minutes in advance of your first visit or new injury evaluation since you will need to fill out paperwork. Otherwise, we ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment since your therapist’s schedules are very full.
Q: How do I pay for treatment?
A: We participate with most major insurance plans and will directly bill your insurance company; however, you are responsible for any co-pays at the time of service. Before your first visit, we will ascertain the physical therapy benefits under your plan. For cash pay clients, your payments are due at the beginning of each session.
Q: What do I wear or bring to wear for my appointments?
A: Please wear comfortable clothing – shorts, t-shirts, socks and tennis shoes are ideal.
Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance so we may use the time to help someone else. Cancellations made after 24 hours and “no-shows” are subject to a $45 charge.
